Շan you believe it is already February, the second month of the new year? This year is surely going by so fast already and so much has happened in just a short while; so, so much! The threat of wars, corona virus epidemic, planes and helicopter crashes and the death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and the death of their friends all on the same day. Now, that inident really shook me! I was a big fan of Kobe because I enjoy watching basket ball games; my favorite sport. I pray that God continues to comfort the families and friends of all the victims. This is the reason why I chose the topic of my Blog Post today; living each day with great intention...
Remember all that excitement we felt towards the end of last year or on new year's eve; with all those prayers and well wishes for the upcoming year? Has it worn out yet? Well, it shouldn't! We need to build up that excitement again irrespective of what is going on around us. It does not matter that we are into the second month of the new year. In my opinion, every day should be a new beginning; a new dawn. So, every evening should be filled with excitement, prayers and preparation for the next day. This is one of my goals for this year and for living life with a purpose. If you have faith like me and believe that each new day can be a new beginning and a new chapter in life, then that's great. We can do and achieve all things including our goals and dreams by the grace of God. End each day or begin each day by doing the following;
Reflection:
Set out some time each evening to reflect on the day's activities and write down your achievements for the day and your goals for the next day and do it with a grateful heart. No achievement should be too small to journal. Did you get your house chores done? Write it down on your completed task list. Oh, you didn't get the house chores done but was able to catch up on some much needed sleep and rest? Write that down on the completed task list too on your journal and write down the uncompleted house chores as a "to-do list" for the next day. If you do not like journaling but are able to do mental a list, then that's okay too. Just remember that the key is to be present and to live each day with a purpose and intention.
Meditation:
Set out time for meditation every day and let your meditation include praying, reading the Bible or singing and worshipping. If you can not spare some time, put on some gospel music while you do your early morning chores or end of day chores or even while you drive to work and sing along and worship as you go. The Lord knows the intention of our hearts and loves it when we pray and worship him.
Complete some Tasks:
Yes, get stuff done! There is a quote I heard or read somewhere and I don't recall the source but it goes like this; "Do something today to make your tomorrow better." Most of us might have heard this quote before in different words or forms like; "may hay while the sun shines." So, get something done today to make tomorrow easier for you. Do you need to get in the closet today and pick out your clothes for work and school clothes for the kids so you can save some time the next day? Then, go ahead and do it. Do you need to pre-plan your family meals over the weekend? get to it. No matter what you need to do to improve the next day, get to it. Just make sure you are doing everything with gratitude, joy and a faith filled and positive heart. And if it happens that you are incapable of doing the tasks, try and delegate to someone who is competent and capable of doing it. If you cannot afford to pay to get the job or task done, think of volunteer or non-profit groups that can help. Whatever you do, just keep moving. Thanks so much for visiting.
My lavender pantsuit was purchased about two summers ago from JC Penny and it has since sold out but you can find similar color pant suit by checking out the selections I picked in the shopping links below. I love the color of this suit and the fact that I can style it a lot of ways. I styled it last summer by pairing it with a white tie-neck blouse and blogged about it here. This time, I just paired it with a black turtle neck top and black Chelsea boots and to add a punch of contrasting color, I just put green color accessories in a clear bag an I was good to go. I wore this outfit to Church yesterday and it was a very snowy day but the bright color suit sure brightened my day and made my faithful and positive mindset greater. Thanks so much for reading.
