This scarf pointed-toe brown booties caught my attention on the Neiman Marcus Website and the product information on the site lists it as leather booties with 2.4 covered stiletto heels and back zip, leather lining, smooth outsole, printed text; "for walking" and removable printed scarf. Yes, that scarf you see on the booties is removable and the boots started off at $1, 605 with a recent price reduction to $481.00.
I applaud the ingenuity of the designer for coming up with the idea of a pair of boots that has an accessory attached to it (the scarf) but if you take away the scarf, they are like any other regular brown boots. I do not know if the scarfs are 100% silk because the website does not say so but if they are, it could be the reason why the boots retailed for over a thousand dollars at the original price. While I advocate that our closets need very unique pieces like I stated in this Post, my head screams DIY (Do it yourself) whenever I look at these boots and I just might take a shot at recreating the style for my next DIY. Kudos to the brilliant designer
Hello beauty
ReplyDeleteI'm super curious about your DiY's boots with a scarf.
In fact these boots are perfectly banal without the scarf I think the price is exaggerated.
