Yes, the year is finally coming to an end and I'm so thankful to God for his protection over me and my family and friends and also thankful for you for your continued support on here. Thanks so much for reading and I pray to God to bless you richly in the new year and onwards. I have been styling most of my holiday looks this season around accessories; check out these Posts here and here and here and last year's posts here and here. I did the same styling with this look using old accessories and pieces from my closet. I am wearing a black color short sleeve turtle neck or high neck top from Boohoo that I have been talking about in my blog posts for the last couple of weeks. At $6.40 a piece, the top is very beautiful, of great quality and versatile for styling other closet essentials. Get them in different colors before they sell out. You definitely need them this winter and in the spring.
I tucked my top into a pair of velvet plaid pants which did not come out great in the pictures. The pant is of plain black fabric but the plaid lines that run across it are velvet. Our weather here in the Twin-Cities; Minneapolis/St. Paul has been cloudy for days and definitely not great for out door pictures and I don't have the best of lighting indoors either. Anyways, so the pants are velvet plaid pants which I layered a velvet blazer over. Velvet is a very festive fabric that can be styled for almost any event and it's a closet essential in my opinion. This outfit would be a basic black ensemble without the addition of the silver sequin metallic clutch and silver metallic heels. These accessories definitely make this outfit New Year's Eve worthy. So, if you are planning on attending a party for New Year's and you do not have an outfit picked out already, just think sparkly or glittery accessories and a monochrome ensemble; blacks, browns, whites...and you are good to go. Happy new year drear Friends.
